Postby jonno22 » Thu Jan 06, 2011 3:13 am

Some of you may know I am a freelance photographer outside of the railway world. I thought I would post some of my nature photographs from 2010 so here we go......

Cheers Big Stuff .. quite pleased with that as box was at full zoom and, as we both know, it doesn't like that one iota.

if thats the heron that hangs about the canal near your place doorstop then i snapped it as it was at its lunch.it had just taken a three foot eel and took about five minutes to digest the thing.thats why i need to learn how to post pics so i can share them the way you guys do.

'Fraid not Banj, old fruit .. t'was captured on the wee pond in Kelvingrove park. A pond, incidentally, surprisingly choc-a-bloc with all sorts of wildlife. Quite unexpected.

This fellow scooted by me, no chance I thought, all the wrong camera setting and 12 wasted shots.

But he came back, still only got a few shots, very hard to do, something to do with camoflage being his speciality not mine ! ! ! ! Doh !

Y'know what the most impressive thing about a Unicorn is?

It's mythical status?

It's reputation as being a most benevolent and compassionate magical Beastie?

The Single vertical horn erupting from it's noble brow?

No!

It's none of those .. see the next photo.

Image

It's the knackers.

Unicorns have the most enormous whazzumphers.

It's no wonder they've got that spike on their head.

Magical my arse .. that's a counterbalance if ever I saw one.
