And, judging by the number plate, only recently imported into Geneva. I wonder how it passed "la visite".

Joanne and myself will be able to say our cars are fresh from the showroom next week;

Dropped them off in Greenock on Tuesday and Joanne was loaned a new Polo to use in return and the cars got a full valet.

New Scirocco in there. I'm not sure what to make of it.

My Dad bought the original 1600TS back in late '75. It was bright orange and had matching "tartan" and faux-leather seats. We had that car for eight years. It was the first I ever drove and one of the sweetest. I'd love to have another.

I think the original is the best of the Scirocco / Corrado theme for looks. Jamieson's has a large scale model in their window and I'm tempted. It's red, though, so it'll need a respray. :)

I always had a soft spot for the Corrado (*sp). I fancied the VR6.

Is this dealership the one across the road from the Vauxhall? If I recall right I was in the market for an Audi/VW as a company car. I was buying it myself but the minute I mentioned company car to the Greenock dealer staff they walked away. Didn't even hear out the fact that I had a company car allowance to purchase the vehicle. Bang went their sale and commision for the finance deal. Bought a spanking Audi A3 Sport with a few tweaks from Glenvargill in Stirling, they threw in a brolly too :D

VW Corrado VR6. Artwork (c) 1997 BrigitDoon. Airbrushed gouache on Bristol board. 70 x 50 cm. Private Collection.

The owner of this bolide was a Royal Navy helicopter pilot. Quite the most intrepid pilot I've ever ridden shotgun with. Calm, self assured and lets see if the VR6 can match the Sea King for ground speed. 115 mph along the B3139 if you insist...
