As well as that, there are competitions where members prints are scored, and it's fascinating to listen to the judgements on the photos and see if I agree or not. And last but not least, there are visiting speakers - a couple of weeks ago, we had a talk by Colin Prior, who is an incredible photographer.
So if you are thinking of joining your local club, give it a go - you have nothing to lose and possibly a lot to gain.
