Very nice PJ, well done!

I got a phone call today as well - I didn't win a prize but my photo's up, which makes me think that apart from the really good few who won, there can't have been many entrants and they needed to fill up the space...

I'm gonna head over anyway. Someone on Flickr posted about the Govanhill baths being opened and filled with photography exhibitions tomorrow too.

The fact that they deferred the judging for so long would tend to suggest that. Same with the Merchant City competition, where they pushed the deadline back a month.

Given that Glasgow's hoaching with photographers, it's a bit odd.

Just about every Flickr group with 'Glasgow' in the title was graced with a thread about it and you'd think that'd be the best place to spread the word.

Maybe there was a general feeling of...

17. The winners may be required to participate in publicity arising from this competition.

For a maximum of fifty quid? Aye, right! ::):

Oops. Sorry if I put anyone off.

I'm just off to St Andrews Square to see who had the temerity to beat Potatojunkie and Poodiecat into second and third place, btw. :D

If anyone's going, could they try to take a photo of the display? I'm probably not gonna get to go now but I wanted to see how it looked.

The third place shot should really have won, it's quite exceptional. Most of the runners-up were better than the winning photo, too.

Do you know if they will be putting all the pictures on-line? I would quite like to see them all

I'd go with that. You'd probably have romped it, PJ, if you hadn't called the flaky paint issue wrongly  .

Meanwhile, an extraordinarily poor shot of the leader board.

Is that all they put up? I was expecting a bit more.

I wish I'd taken mine from a bit further back - you can't really tell it's taken through a letterbox, or that it's in the museum either. So nil points on the door criteria and nil points on the Glasgow criteria really...

Was the winner the one with the text under it, or the highest one? I'm a bit confused. I prefer the highest one to the one on the right, but I still think PJ's is better than either.

I think the highest one is the winner as the one to the right with the text under it is Poodiecat's, which came third

I have been asked to point out, by the slightly miffed person concerned, that it looks much better in actual size :D .

As do most of them, to be fair.

I didn't say it was bad! And indeed it does look good. Very worthy of its podium position.

MMMMM looks a low to average shot with a touch of photoshop to me. Seen many many more inventive shots on all the usual local boards. Tad let down....... and no I didn't enter !

It looks like film and no photoshop to me.
