Apollo is right, a computer controlled charger set up is the best way to avoid the problem with batteries flattening out.

I had the same problem with 4No. different Minolta and Fuji Digital Cameras, both my own and ones we use at work, over the last couple of years until a friend put me straight.

It is not just a Fuji thing, but saying that the problem was not as bad with Minolta.

Rechargeable batteries are fine but through time they deteriorate and also the contacts in the charger can become plated / burned and deteriorate also.

I now use a computer controlled charger and have had very few problems..................................touches wood.
