Has anyone done this before?

I have shot a series of images and am now wondering what you do with them. At time like this Google just seems TOO BIG!!!

I've downloaded the first think I found, so we'll see how that goes.... but.... any tips welcome :)

There will be many neater fancier versions with ui's but at a very basic level;
for flv and many other formats i use;

ffmpeg -f image2 -r 2 -i imgnames_%d.jpg output.flv

( A lot of the programs you will be recommended are just wrappers around ffmpeg )

for gifs ;
gifsicle --delay=10 --loop imgnames*jpg > output.gif

both are available on all platforms.

I don't wish to sound rude, or uninformed, but eh?

Beneld, Sounds very flash man :)

I guess what solution suits depends on what software you currently have and are familiar with.

A lucky google hit mins after posting for help told me I could do it in Photoshop, who knew? I use CS6 so cant confirm other versions support this.

So my haphazard workflow went like this:
shot pics in raw (270 over 40 mins)
In camera RAW Iprocessed one, saved settings, applied those settings to the full batch
Export the batch as JPGS as a sequence
In Photoshop CS6 File > Export > Render Video
Choose your path to pics
Then I think I did that again but it went straight to exporting the video at my chosen frame rate which was 24fps (for no considered reason)

And the results below, you can view on You Tube in full HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_oXLlbh ... e=youtu.be

Things I've learned:
MORE shots needed, more frequently.
I don't have much patience for sitting about, so my 'concept' wasn't realised; boats bob about on water, tide goes out, mud revealed, boats wedged stationery on mud.
I needed to have read the manual better so I could set the timer I have to infinity, and not have it time out at 99.
Some sound would be nice, maybe waves and birds type music. I am rubbish at sourcing music though!
It's quite fun to see the end result :)
