Scavenger Hunt #1 - August 2004

Postby Sharon » Fri Aug 13, 2004 2:40 pm

The first list of ten things to photograph:

1.Tall
2.Blue
3.Pipe
4.Water
5.Dial
6.Close
7.Brick
8.Three
9.Horizon
10.Fallen

----------------------------------------------------------

The rules:

*This is a fun photographic game - no winners list, no prizes handed out.

*On a given date, a list of items are posted on the website and participants set out to photograph each of teh ten items, according to their own interpretation.

*Film or digital (or both!) is fine.

*New or old photographs are accepted.

*Basic photographic editing techniques (cropping etc.) are allowed. Your items are supposed to be photographs, not digital manipulations so don't go nuts in Photoshop.

*Present your collection of ten photos in any way you please, online. Please note that we don't host your photos - you have to organise that yourself.

*Come back on August 31st and post your completed entry to the completed entries list.

*Your photographs remain your own.

Would you like us to email you with the links to photos, and you can choose the best ones and put them online, or is this a free-for-all post your photos according to each subject heading?

The idea is that you select a single image that is representative of each "thing" in the list. Its up to you how you interpret the "thing".

I think posting a link to your gallery of things in this thread perhaps would probaly be the best way once all ten have been gathered.

I can then create a page that lists all the galleries.

Still got to work all this out...but it'll be good!!!!!

:)

Do we take photos of all ten things, or just one or more, and then you pick the best ten?

This sounds like fun :-) . This being a Glasgow group, is there any requirement for the images to be taken in Glasgow?

Glasgowish seems like a good idea as it might bring out some odd pics that folk can't think of where to post otherwise.

Actually, i would say that this one is open. No requirement to be glagow at all. Although...it is a chance to try and capture unusual photos....

I'll stick up a page when the final galleries are in.

Get snap happy!

This sounds like a great idea.
A nice wee distraction for a bored designer. get the creative juices flowin' n' all that. Glad it's not restricted to just Glasgow Sharon, I'm not back over there till September.

Say 'cheese', random objects!
The Jungle? Yeah, I do kinda miss it...but it's nice to get off the food chain, y'know?
