Was at the Model Rail myself, on Sunday, and as always was completely immersed for hours. Took several quadrillion pics and thought I might share a few if I may. The standard of the layouts was impressively stratospheric.

I have built myself a tenement building for the layout, I took it down to the garden yesterday evening to take some shots of it in natural light, as the flash sometimes makes it look unnatural.

The back is a total fudge, I took some screenshots from the rear of a tenement that overlooks one of the stations on the Cathcart Circle and printed it off on a sheet of A3, it is all that it needs as it will be very difficult to see once the building is on the layout.

Thanks everyone, one thing that this build taught me is that there is absolutely no such thing as a standard Glasgow Tenement, there are so many subtle variations of stonework styles etc etc. They deserve a study all of their own.

I have just put together a wee video shot by my Dad in the mid 1990's in the loft of a railway modeller John Smith.

Mostly Caledonian railway and Highland railway but with some oddities thrown in.
