glasgow subway kiosks

Postby stunev » Wed Nov 25, 2009 8:47 am

According to the Allmeeja Scotland website, the SPT are looking for 'premium brand' businesses to run the Subway kiosks, including a new one at Partick.

Presumably this means that the local traders who run Govan and Buchanan St at present will be out the door and that 'premium brand' means being replaced by the ghastly WH Smith or the even more ghastly RS McColl.

Let's hope there's someone at the SPT with a memory long enough to remember the arse that WH Smith made of running the original 70s kiosks and advertise for local independent traders instead.

As I think I've said before, I've had a kneetrembler with the ex in the Buchanan St kiosk - it just wouldn't sound the same saying I had one in WH Smith.

That'd just be perverted.
I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"
