@robertpool, thanks for the identification. I still don't know what lies behind the choice of subjects for the five armorial shields. Any guesses?

@Autolycus, sorry I meant the Four Winds Building. I don't know if Parr is there.

Four Winds Building or whatever, we were obviously a bit wide of the mark there, Ronnie.

As for the Templeton Carpet Factory, this is such a cornucopia of ornamentation that I wonder whether the armorial shields were just a whim on the part of the architect (William Leiper who, as is well known, took for his inspiration the Doge's Palace in Venice).
