Where does one play??

Where can one find a Bluegrass/Country jam type scene these days. I have recently taken up playing banjo again after a wee break and would like to find some like minded people to play with. Anyone any ideas??

I play just a wee bit of Bluegrass guitar (badly). Personally, I play it in my attic when the family's out!!

I remember about 5 years ago I went to the Clutha Vaults on Stockwell Street and they had some live Bluegrass/Country stuff going on. I'm not sure if they still do though...

Scotch corner - next to the Clutha - has a saturday afternoon bluegrass open session - very good and very welcoming. Good listening too !

Most open mic sessions would enjoy a spot of banji - there are too many acoustic guitars and the banji would make a welcome change.
