I will contact the Glasgow Pram Centre.

I should have mentioned, I work at the Museum of Transport. This research will help one of the displays at the new Riverside Museum. The pram collection here at the Museum is well loved and this research will hopefully give the the display a stronger Glasgow feel.

I am currently doing some research into baby and prams shops here in Glasgow in the 1960s and 1970s.

Places like Mrs Diack’s in Arglye Arcade, Babyland on Victoria Road or Babyfair on Great Western Road.

I would like to find out more about how the shops were laid out, what they sold, and who worked in them.

I would be especially interested in speaking to former employees of these or similar shops or people who bought their prams, toys and baby clothes at these types of shops.

I am happy to discuss my research with anyone interested or who might have information for my project.

There was a big pram shop at the Trongate.cant remember the name..way back in the 60s... also another one in High st near College street.. Some other weans clothes shops were Isobel Towns in Main st Brideton.. Hatricks London road at Heron st Bridgeton. the lovely shop in Duke st.. name escapes me.. they had a lovely window display, could have been Little Folk..
