The attitude of the GCC seems very blunt, no looking into taking the building under the wing of Glasgow museums, no enthusiasm at all from them into finding a way to keep it open. Well I guess a police museum isn't 'trendy' is it

It's not the easiest place to get into, only viewable by appointment. I can't imagine the police themselves will have the cash or enthusiasm to expand it.
