Before you all jump on me it was Garnet Street the lorry rolled down into Lyon's shop. I still think Scott Street is
steeper than Garnet Street. It was coming out the Disco in Scott Street early in the morning I slid down the hill on my backside!!

The runaway lorry was the next one along, Garnet St - I always had a notion it was steeper, but the signs at the bottom say it's a 17% incline, compared to 20% for Scott St.

I artifically ran out of petrol once whilst parked on Montrose Street because the tank was nearly empty and it had all drained to the back and the engine cut out once it had used up what was left in the carburettor. These of course were my impoverished student days when I used to put £5 worth in at a time of course - the gauge only went past 3/4 about twice a year!

Fortunately it was night time so not too busy, but it was an interesting experience trying to roll it backwards across two lanes of traffic and onto the level on Richmond Street before the thing would start again ::): ::):
