Choose three buildings

If you could resurrect 3 demolished buildings in Glasgow, what would they be?
I'm not quite sure what mine are as it's difficult to narrow it down to three, but i think i'd definately have to go with the Christian Institute/YMCA and the St Enoch Hotel for starters, and possibly the whole of Charing Cross before the "big motorway thingy" (but that would be cheating as it's more than three).

Let's hear yours.

No.

But I think the building was excellent.... And they pulled it down.

Bastards.

1. St Enochs.

2. St Andrews Halls, even though it would mean the Mitchell being cut in half...

3. Christian Institute and YMCA.

Anyone got a spare copy of Frank Worsdall's "The City That Disappeares" they want o donate to me? It's a great wee book, much better than Carol Foremans effort...

Young Crusty, you have hit the nail on the head. A brilliant choice of three buildings to rehabilitate. ::):

Starks asylum was probably the best of its kind in its day, and a far cry from Bedlam was designed to
"restore the use of reason, to alleviate suffering, and lesson peril, where reason cannot be restored"
In devising the layout, Stark defined 4 'degrees of insanity'- 'Frantic', 'Incurable', 'Ordinary' and 'Convolescant', and laid out the asylum on a saltire plan, centred on an octagonal atrium with a eliptical glass dome, with four oblong ward wings radiating from it allowing the patients to be divided according to sex, rank in life and degree of insanity... all rather civilised

Off topic but "The Surgeon of Crowthorne" is a good book, tenuous link to bedlam in there!.

On topic! - I'd like to see

St Enoch Station
Where I lived when I was little in Springburn (just to see how skanky it was)
and probably Govan if Im allowed that - would be nice to see what it was like in the shipbuilding days.

Did Woodilee have a sign outside saying it was linked with Stobhill Hospital? I pass the site of an old hospital all the time on the outskirts of Lenzie going to pick up my girlfriend - this the one?
