This week a blog posting from a Google employee demonstrated a software tool which aims to automatically blur the faces of people appearing in its images. The post admits that the software still needs some work, since it currently also blurs the faces of horses in New York's Central park.

Apparently they're developing some algorithm that blurs out peoples faces .. which needs a lot of work, see below:This week a blog posting from a Google employee demonstrated a software tool which aims to automatically blur the faces of people appearing in its images. The Google Streetview car documented my street "Medwyn Street in Whiteinch" this morning I was out talking to my neighbour and she asked why a car marked google would be slowly driving down the street with a six foot contraption on top of it.
Can't believe I missed was going to pull a moonie out my window when it came.
Have a look out for it should look something like this.
