Here's some pics of the crane from today-shotblasting is taking place at the moment and the cab has been taken down from the time being (see pics) good to see progress at last! :)

Hopefully i'll be able to use my influence/contacts as work progresses to provide more pics throughout the refurb.

Ace photos there, although living as I do in the flats right beside the site, I must admit to being more than a wee bit fed up of the noise of jackhammers waking me up early in the morning

On a related note, came back from holiday a few weeks ago, looked out my back window and couldn't quite put my finger on why the view seemed slighty different....

took me a few days to realise that I can finally see the river!

Hopefully in a few months I might even be able to get down to it.

The place is called Clydebank, but you can quite easily spend time here and never clap eyes on the Clyde

One of the things I always remember from vanished Clydebank were the acid etched windows of the Seven Seas pub (formerly T.F. Ross). These were large, spectacular scenes of ships and sea scapes, real maserpeices of industrial craft in themselves.

Does anybody know it these were salvaged and still exist someplace, or if they went the way of the rest of the pub, and were smashed by the bulldozers?

Here's a recent-ish one..from about a week-2 weeks ago...refurb work well underway. Shotblasting going well. The staircases that i used to traverse the structure have been removed and are beside the operator's box on the ground beside the structure.
