Absolute shockers most of them.

Do you know this was the last Bus Company I worked for and the reason I left was because he sacked me as he was fed up with my criticising the utterly deplorable state of maintanence of his sorry fleet. How he is still running realy beats me, I can only assume the traffic commissioner has a soft spot for a sob story.

He should have never done that BUT then again the amount of filthy stinking people you get on buses and the trains he probably made the bus smell 10 times better.

From what i read im taking he was a probationer who probably had had enough of people moaning they could do the job better and snapped...personally i'd've ran the bus over a cliff

FIRST Bus is to go where no other operator has gone before and start running services to and from the Glasgow Harbour development.
From this Sunday, the 757 service will link the riverside community to both the city centre and the airport, stopping off at the SECC en-route.
The introduction of the service has been welcomed by Glasgow Harbour and its residents.

THE police have been called in after rogue bus operators tried to defraud millions of pounds through the government's concessionary travel scheme.
Transport Scotland has appealed for public help to identify suspect practices by bus operators and overhauled its procedures after evidence emerged of abuse.

Bout time too :?

Herald

Wardens to crack down on rogue bus operators

Bus wardens with powers to report infringements by transport companies are to be deployed in Glasgow from today in an effort to clamp down on rogue operators.
The inspectors, employed by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, will try to impose order on some of the country's busiest streets, where more than a 100 bus companies compete for passengers.
Any instances of regulatory breaches, including chasing passengers, not running a service according to the timetable and not displaying company information or route numbers on the bus, will be reported to Scotland's traffic commissioner, Joan Aitken, for enforcement action.

Poor bus drivers have a bad enough time drivin the bus as it is.

I've heard Glasgow Harbour described as many things but never a community.

Firms told to shape up or ship out

BUS companies in Glasgow are facing tough new rules in a bid to improve services for passengers and cut pollution.
The move follows an Evening Times campaign launched earlier this year which called on transport chiefs to Get Glasgow Moving and cut down on harmful emissions.
From April, all firms operating in the city centre and on eight main routes across the city will have to ensure at least 90% of all journeys are on low-floor buses which meet low emission levels.

Do First Bus drivers get trained to jerk the brakes on the bus when coming to a bus stop so that infants, pensioners and adults alike can bash themselves off of the bars and other passengers for a laugh? And do they get trained to be dead pan when you show them your all day ticket with no acknowledgement from them whatsoever? To actually stare RIGHT through you? To "auto suggest" you to go find a seat . . . . jerk! . . jerk! jerk! . . . .jer . .. haaaa wait for it . . . . . . .jerkity jerk! ::):
There are a couple of regular drivers that drive the McKindless bus up our way that are really nice guys. They WAIT for pensioners and kiddies to get a seat before they move away. AND! they smile! ::):
