Man v Bus

A clear winner
BY FOOT
I reached the Argyle Street junction from Renfield Street in a comfortable seven minutes and 29 seconds.

BY BUS
It took a full three and a half minutes longer. The stopwatch was on 11 minutes exactly as the bus pulled away from the Union Street traffic lights and turned left into Argyle Street.

I was wondering why the road was closed last night comming home as police were diverting all the traffic.

BBC

Murder inquiry over bus stop body

Image

Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man's body was discovered at a bus stop in Glasgow.

William Clawson, 30, was found dead in Paisley Road West, near Springfield Quay, at about 1205 GMT on Thursday. He stayed at a nearby hostel.
The road was closed for several hours following the discovery to allow forensic officers to examine the scene.
Police have appealed to motorists and passers-by, who may have witnessed a disturbance, to contact them.
Officers have also conducted interviews with local people and businesses.
Additional patrols
An incident room has been set up at Helen Street police office in Govan.
Det Insp Paul Livingstone, of Strathclyde Police, is leading the investigation.
He said: "The area where Mr Clawson died is a very busy location and I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area, who may have heard or seen anything, which might help progress the investigation, to come forward.
"In particular, I would appeal to motorists and bus passengers, who may have witnessed a disturbance, or seen anything suspicious, to contact us at the incident room."
Strathclyde Police said additional officers would be on patrol in the area in the coming days to reassure local people.

Speaking of 57a's. Why do 3 of them always seem to end up in Berkeley Street at the same time?
