The Dangers of carrying knives/axes

Postby Dexter St. Clair » Thu Jan 17, 2008 8:39 am

For some strange reason I laughed at this story of violence.

That shop should be closed down. Everything out of there is either faulty or dangerous. Believe me, I know. Better not say too much or he'll send the heavies after me...

He'd still make his money from tacky lingerie, though ::):

Unless you can provide court standard evidence I suggest you may care to alter your statement.

I've purchased audio equipment from the and it has worked. The only problem was trying not to laugh when the other clients were in for a purchase.

I bought a beautiful Fylde from Martin a number of years back for a fraction of the true value.

Well, if you are happy with buying from there I'm not going to say anything more on the matter other than I wouldn't give him a penny and advise others the same.

Judge Lord Menzies allowed Collins bail and deferred sentence until next month for background reports.

Hmm, just like the copper who went and killed his mother-in-law and the wee ned that kicked Garry Newlove to death. I'm finding it more and more difficult to argue against the Daily HateMail "flog 'em and hang 'em" world view.

My 20 year old son was attacked last year by a gang of neds one had an axe, he tried to hit my son on the head but he managed to get his hands up to cover his head in time so was hit on the arm with the axe. my son grabeded the axe and managed to keep hold of it, when the police arrived he gave them the axe before going to hospital for stiches in his arm. the police and locals told him that Lidals or Aldi's (I cant remember which) just along the road from where it happened were selling the axes.
ps the ned with the axe was aged about 16 years old as were they others.

I was wondering why any one would need an axe these days we dont have to break sticks for making the old coal fire any more. so is it just a must have ned tool

My Dad's occasionally used an axe to remove trees from his garden when they get too big.

Axes and swords are not the problem, violent people are. We need to get the polis out from their desks and gender awareness courses and back onto the beat. We also need to start handing out real deterrent sentences for acts of violence.

Chief Constable Pery Sillitoe and Lord Carmont had the right idea.

Who's your dad, George Washington?

We've got an armoury on Argyll Street and it's not a problem. Do you work there?

Do you seriously believe anyone seeking to acquire an offensive weapon for illegal purposes buys it over the counter, at retail price in a shop hoaching with CCTV?

B & Q is an armoury - hatchets, Stanley knives, pickaxe handles, shovels and wood chisels galore.

JJB Sports is an armoury too - nice selection of baseball bats and pool cues.

Your own home is an armoury - kitchen knives, potato peelers and kebab skewers.

A lot of people are so frightened of the world around them that they cling to the simplistic idea that "if only we banned XXXXX we'd be safe". The real world doesn't work that way - banning handguns failed miserably. They can't face the fact that there are no quick and easy solutions. Solving the violence problem means going up against the powerful lawyer lobby and liberal elite, as well as spending the money to build more jails. Sadly the self-serving mediocrities who run Scotland and the UK lack the brains or backbone to do what's needed, so instead they waste our tax money on useless gimmicks like council wardens and sword bans.
