Glasgow Comedians

Apart from the most obvious, i'm interested in getting some material of the rare ones, like Lex McLean. My Grandad used to work beside him as a tech in the pavillion. However, he died before I was born :(

Could anyone help me here? We should all salute our comedians, Rikki Fulton etc. I was recently at 'The Stand' in Edinburgh, and saw a guy called Sandy Nelson. now this guy is up there with Billy Connolly, does observational stuff, and sing-songs. He appears at the Fringe Fest. every year, comes from maryhill. He has done acting etc. in the past, and even played a cameo part in Braveheart right at the beginning....actually has anyone seen him before? A guy tried to heckle him while I was there, so funny the way he reacted

Sandy Nelson makes me laugh...My friend & I used to work (occasionally) on the door at The Comic Club in Blackfriars. Lets just say, you learned a lot about the acts.

A few of my favourite comedians that I saw there were: Mr. Nelson, Parrot, Michael Redmond, Reg Anderson (he played a tiny keyboard), Viv Gee, Janey Godley, Joe Heenan, Teddy, James Anderson and a guy called Allan, who had a monkey on a stick and who ran around the stage in his pants with said monkey to 'Air's' Sexy Boy. And If you'd like to know - the monkey was known as 'SexyBoyMonkey'...
:)
Don't dream it. Be it.
