Glasgow’s central signage and wayfinding system is to undergo a revamp designed to encourage more visitors to explore the city on foot.

I would love to be the person in charge of writing the new signs!

Appointed by Glasgow City Council, outdoor advertising contractor Clear Channel engaged Lacock Gullam and Applied Information Group (AIG) to work on the project, which saw AIG spend three months researching the character and layout of the city.

Well the character of the city will need saving from Clear Channel. They have applied to put advertising on the roundabout at Langside Monument. Spoke to the Council planners and was told that I should hold out much hope of any objections being successful because the Council sold them the pitch to put the advertising on and won't get paid if they don't get planning permission.
