A nice easy one for every one. Like the last one there is a Glasgow Mug available to the first correct post.

Is this not the wee lane just up from where Tin Pan Alley used to be?

It connects (or maybe connected) through to Union Street. There was a wee hairdressers in it a few years ago...

Nice and quick with this one.

As both Gordonm2 and Bonz got it correct I will give each a mug.

How do you want me to get the mug to you? Or are you available to collect?

The last time I tried to cut through there it was closed off - does anyone know if it is closed at certain times? I see the gate is closed in the picture.

I, too, have no idea where I was on the 10th of August 2007. If anyone knows, keep quiet about anything embarrassing I may have been doing.

Thanks Alex: clear evidence that the council's CleanGlasgow campaign is really having an effect in the city centre! :D

G Lost

I assume you are not a big fan of the Council

Ah well!

I may be mistaken but I have a feeling that with the gates at both ends being locked demonstrates that this is in private ownership and also results in a physical barrier to ensuring that this area can't be cleaned by the Council's Cleansing Department as part of the CleanGlasgow initiative.

Clean Glasgow....Alex does this extend to Whiteinch?

Sorry to be bringing this up and I'll no even get a mug but there is a Lane near to us, Morna Lane. It goes nowhere, only one way in - no exit unless you turn around. It is not a service lane, it has no real reason for being there - but it is filthy. It is overgrown with weeds, debris, rubbish and despite promises and assurances from the Council via a certain gentleman at Dawsholm who assured me it would be cleaned in the Spring (mind you he didn't say which Spring) it hasn't happened.

Former Councillor Irene Graham was about to embark on getting the Lane tidied up and lo and behold she lost her seat and the whole thing has slipped on to the back burner and its not even burning now!

Amazingly this Lane could serve as a wildlife haven if it was looked after - but all we have are Rats, maggots and junk everywhere....Clean Glasgow, aye all of it please!!!

I have to be honest and say that I think the people in the Cleansing Department do a great job. If you get hold of the right person they will do their best to help you out.

Clean Glasgow can help you and others in your area clean up the lane by supplying everything that you need. I think you can also get a badge - a bit like writing to Blue Peter.

I must say i agree with you AndrewM.

I emailed clean Glasgow with my concerns in my area along with pics that i took of the rubish and litterd areas and they were out the next day cleaning them up....well worth the council tax for a change.
