Hello folks. First post - be gentle

Tried searching for it but it came up with a gazillion results!

Does anyone know the origins of the Arches space underneath Central Station. It's a club I spend a fair bit of time in but have never really known what is was used for in days gone by.

Anyone know of any photos of the space pre-1990s?

It would've been used for all sorts of things in years gone by. You'll notice wherever a railway is built above street level there are arches. Saves a fortune in bricks when you're laying a high foundation for a railway track!

Typing (Glasgow's Glasgow) into the search is like ripping up a phone book and throwing the pages about then trying to find your gran's phone number in the mess.

Not a dig at the search BTW, Just saying I canny find it and i've looked a good few times.

Does anyone remember if there is or was a thread about it?

The search function is crap as we all know, alas. Often it's so much easier to use Google and take advantage of the 'site' function. (You can also use the domain in their advanced search.) The search string I used was:

"Glasgow's Glasgow" site:http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/
