A 30-year-old woman has been raped by a gang of four men in Glasgow.
Police said the victim was attacked while walking her dog in Overnewton Street, in the Yorkhill area of the city, at about 0040 BST.

The men were described as being of Afro Caribbean appearance. One was said to be in his mid 20s and more than 6ft tall, with long dreadlocks.

I have pretty strong opinions on rape. Castrating them's not enough imo.

I've known several people who've been raped, and the damage it does psychologically is terrifying.

It is a sad reflection of all of society that women have to *always* keep an eye out.

An interesting read is a book named "Lucky" by Alice Sebold, it tells of her own rape with the reactions of her family/friends and teachers. Excellent book.

Never always get it right?? Only a few percent of those accused of rape are actually convicted and then the sentence is painfully inadequate.

I don't agree with mutilation either - the debases us all. However, one thing I do believe is that there is only one surefire way of making sure rapists and child molesters can never be free to offend again - by the death penalty.

All sexual offenders should be cast into the void of perpetual solitary confinement without hope of reprieve.

My childhood was ruined by a mother who had been sexually assaulted .. I don't hold it against her .. but I bear the scars of her torment .. mentally and physically.

"Beasts" deserve a fate worse than whatever we can come up with .. short of death.

Perpetual solitary confinement is the best we, as humanitarian individuals,can come up with short of sinking to their base levels.

Life without prospect of parole .. then let them stew .. the animals.

Stick them in a cell my arse ,dont mutilate them my arse , why dont we ask the woman, the dirty bastards raped ,what she would do to them .Im quite sure she could come up with a suitable punishment .And for the bastards who do the same to children lock them in a room where a sucsession of mothers are alowed in every half hour ,until they beg for mercy and death ,all this bringing ourselves down to their level is a load of shit ,and thats what these people depend on when they get caught,the goodie attitude of some folk , how many get jailed for a couple of years and then get out to do the same again.
