I bought a 1914 edition of an OS map of Cambuslang from the chap about a month ago, no complaints about service and the actual map was in cracking condition for something that's nearly a century old.

Looking through it, though, you realise that cartography nowadays is pretty naff compared with the pre-computer generated maps - the older maps are works of art!

They are beautiful, I've got one framed on my landing wall :) Although this is a reproduction on aged paper. Got it from the NLS years back.

I've tried twice to buy an old OS map of Blantyre on Ebay in the last few weeks, nd twice I was off the mark by about 50p
