The comments I made certainly invoke my experiences of a new type of Glaswegian man who has replaced the HardMan (TM) of 'yore.' Faced with a choice between HardMan and ArtGalleryMan, I would rather have a conversation with the guy wearing the Carlsberg t-shirt.

I'm sure the story could well be subject to Hollywoodisation, but I remember claims of a similar thing happening after 28 year-old "Brandon Lee" tried to pass himself as a school pupil in Bearsden in the 1990s. Whilst Hollywood did eventually produce a film based along those lines, after the inevitable script revisions and edits, the story actually ended up asNever Been Kissed starring Drew Barrymore. Hardly the same tale by anyone's standards...

:) depends on your perspective i suppose....
Brandon Lee sorry Brian MacKinnon was an ugly guy so i doubt he had ever been kissed too....
But i take your point it was a pretty poor holloywoodisation...
If cheese gets mouldy you throw it out...
Why buy it mouldy in the first place ?

What exactly is the story going to be ? The whole Smeaton involvement lasted a few minutes.

So did the Clinton / Lewinsky 'involvement, but that one dribbled on for years & grew in the telling.
