Glasgow Airport Terror Alert

Glasgow Airport is on Fire after a Burning Car Crashes into the Main Terminal:->Click Me<

Car on fire crashes into airport

A car on fire has been driven at the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport before exploding, police have confirmed.

The car was ablaze before crashing into the building

Eyewitnesses have described a Jeep Cherokee being driven at speed towards the building with flames coming out from underneath.

They have also described seeing two Asian men, one of whom was on fire, who had been in the car.

The airport has been evacuated and all flights suspended.

WTF Is Going on!!! 8O

I just tuned into CNN and saw the breaking news. Thank goodness no one was hurt or at least that's what their reporting over here.

I am hoping this was just a Media-Hyped Accident as in an Engine Malfunction on the vehicle causing it to burst into flames panicing the driver who then crashed into the building,

But with both Police and the Public's sense of panic when something like this happens then the over-Zealous reporting by the media causing further panic and finger pointing.

The fact the people were possibly asian has no factor in it.

We really need to wait and see. One eyewitness on News 24 claimed they got
out the car and tried to set it alight with bottles of petrol. 8O

This is bad.... from what I understand, it was some form of terrorist attack. But in my opinion, based on what the media is reporting, it looks like an amatuer job.

I'm hoping... praying... this doesnt cause anarchy in glasgow with mass attacks on the asian community

BBC are saying Strathclyde Police stated there was a2 car collision outside the terminal at 3:15 with one of the cars catching fire. It has not been confirmed wether or not the car that crashed into the terminal was one of these cars.

After teh car collided with the terminal a witness has said the passenger was smashing and splashing bottles of petrol inside and outside the car. This man was wrestled by bystanders and police.

The ethnic origin of the 2 men in the car has not been confirmed.

Most witnesses seem adamant it was aterrosrist attack but it HAS NOT been confirmed.

The place is locked down completely, you couldn't get a pigeon in the airspace or a rat up the sewer at the moment.

BT, he'll be diverted to Pretwick if his flight is in the air, if not, the flight probably won't leave its origin. The airport will be closed till at least 9pm tonight as per BBC.

That's what I mean by panic, Who says the guy wasn't trying to put the fire OUT, Water is the same colour as Petrol is it not. :?

If it was petrol you wouldn't be able to get close enough to "Splash" anything on fire without possible Severe Consequences.

Call me an optimist but I'm not gonna charge in and start accusing people until the whole thing is confirmed.

Just spoke to my folks. He is flying in from Switzerland but changing planes at Heathrow so I wouldnt be surprised if he spends the night in London.
