Brilliant! I'll take a dozen.

Now i am having to rely on memory as google fails us. Iirc there was a break before the campsies and the stage was won by one of the dutch riders in my piccie. ( either om4 or since it was pishin doon, took our my fuji1) malcolm elliot had won the stylish prologue opp yon bonnie brae in dundee day b4. It went to the wire in westminster with Elliot tipped to win as a good tt and sprinter but robert millar held him off. Most people don't know that millar won many scu races on the sprint. In becoming scottish champ. . .and that now he is a wumman.

Does anybody know when the cyclepath (I assume National Cycle Route 75) was created between Rutherglen Bridge and Dalmarnock Bridge? Thanks!

Wasn't it also illegal to ride a cycle in a Glasgow park until 1990? Sure I read that somewhere.

A pal of mine came by this wee book with a recent bicycle purchase:

The most interesting part is the adverts; I want some of this stuff.

Kind of went off cycling a bit. Too many nutters on the cycle-paths in Glasgow and they are the actual old boy cyclists. Fed up with getting my back wheel clipped too. Well out of order that.

ADDED: and what happens today? Sighthill Park cyclepath, next to the motorway, some French sounding 50+ guy was absolutely convinced that I was somebody called "Michael" who owed him £20. He was absolutely convinced. I almost questioned my own sanity.

Both my wife and youngest daughter have bikes and I'm thinking of getting one to join them.
I take them down to Strathclyde Park to cycle round the loch and as long as its early morning you're okay but anytime late afternoon into evening and the park is full of bams.......
and I rose up, and knew that I was tired, and continued my journey
