Well,
My brother and I took his 12-year-old son to Alien Wars on Saturday, and is was heartening to see it very busy indeed!
They did take us in as "the group with the kids", so I assume it was toned down a bit. It was brilliant fun winding the wee fella up because he was nervous as hell!
It is quite different to the original, purely because it's not using Alien props from the film (well, they haven't got Fox's backing with this one), but it was the same feel, ie. being told to crouch down with backs to the wall… running in narrow, dimly lit corridors with strobelights flashing. The darkness plays a big part because the lights did go off a few times which freaked the kids out. I won't go too much into detail as I don't want to ruin the experience for anyone who has still to go, but the wee man loved it.
I was just happy to see something a bit different in Glasgow again.
Well done to the guys behind it… I will return to see if it is scarier without the kids!
Ehhh... cool. Whatever you say, I'm sorry. You're the man. The dude in the chair.
