I was there in '66 being crazy about Dylan at that time. Don't remember an awful lot about it but the 1st half was him on his own with his guitar playing the older stuff. After the interval he came on with his band and the electric guitars etc and all the heckling started. I was up in the balcony and had some hecklers behind me and I turned round and told them to shut up - they were quite startled ::): I thought Dylan looked quite a pathetic wee creature - don't know whether he was on drugs at that point but he certainly was not a healthy-looking specimen and being a bit of a softie back then I felt moved to defend him :)

I thought that was the copthorne, you see queen street in the background?
wasnt the Copthorne when Dylan stayed there was the North British....and before that Queens Hotel........
