" When Wallace died in 1902 he was stuffed and placed in the reception room....."

Just doesn't seem right. But hey.....

God, this website is brilliant.

My late father was the A Division commander at Cowcaddens and i loved this dog and it's story. I used to stand and look at it for hours on end. When, my father became the firemaster, he moved the dog, to the Headquarters in Hamilton.

I don't know if he is still there though

I believe it was returned to the city after representations to return Wallace back to his 'home', but where it is now I don't know as I've been out of the job for a few years now.

I fear i may have been the individual who took Wallace away from his home and into Lanarkshire.

Hope he's back in Cowcaddens now

Wallace is presently in the headquarters offices at Cowcaddens.

Brother of mine is stationed there and says it gives him the creeps.
I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"

Do the dog's eyes follow you round the room no matter where you go ?

Its cool, I'm sure you were only doing what you were told - bottom line is doorstop has confirmed he's back home, that's the best place for Wallace, after all he is a Weegie. :D

He's at the "puppy farm" being looked after in retirement.
