Right, you lot. I'm into hat-eating territory here, but it's definitely Duke Street from the Meat Market. You're on a pint at the next HG night out if you can prove me wrong ::): .

If its from the meat market then the bare wall on the left at the front of the pic would be at the stairs to lidl on Duke street, therfore the car pulling out of the street on the right would be Bellgrove,
If that's the case then when I was along there tonite I could still see further along Duke Street tonite than I can see in the Slide, "Coz the road bends the wrong way" I'll go out in the morning and get a daytime photo it was too dark tonite for a decent comparison. :(

No way, McS  .

And I calculate that in that case, HH, you will be Kylie Minogue for ten minutes on August 12th 2009. I think Foss should be told.

Parly Road! I used to get off the 59 from Mosspark in Hope Street and walk through and get on the bus along Parly road to School in parson Street! memories! Doesn't solve the problem but I still say it's Cathcart Road

Does this help at all? This is Duke St running left to right, with Bellgrove St at the south and Westercraigs to the north of Duke St.

For what it's worth, I've noticed in most of the past presents that no matter how long ago and no matter if street lights have been replaced, the position of street lights very rarely changes. It is more likely than unlikely that those street lights will still be in the same position today irrespective of what's built there now.
