Only you, HH wid make this smutty. Hav ye any idea how traumatic this is for the peoiple who live there . I lived elsewhere many year ago where somethin similiar happened one mad saturday afternoon AND WE LOST EVERYTHING !!

Aye , ok you lot. I just thot I wid try & remind ye that Glesca folks lives hav been affected (albeit Westenders) which I did hope may hav puilt on yer heart strings at this time of year ( bein near Christmas n that ) So no DISASTER fund being set up from this site then ???

The Buildings insurance and house insurance will cover the cost of temporary rehousing and repair and since the council haven't yet kicked them all out and bulldozed the place, we can assume that they were at least able to gather their belongings, and are, it could be said, in a better state than those who were flooded out last week and the weeks before who may also be spending Christmas in temporary accommodation, but also having lost possessions due to water-logging.

I am sure that if any persons such affected were to contact the council etc for emergency support etc, or even contact this site, then support may be forthcoming but why would we rush to donate money where there may be no need.

Has there been any further news on this eg how repairs are going, if or when people can go home, if the insurnace companies are paying etc ?
