I read somewhere that the new building on North St @ Kent Road, has retail space .. and apparently Cafe India are considering opening up a somewhat smaller restaurant there.

Not if Mortimer's firm has been correctly quoted

"Logangate, which own the prestigious G3 North development in the city's North Street, said Cafe India wouldn't be making a comeback at the Charing Cross spot."

"Stephen Marsh, Logangate's group financial director, said: "We are at an advanced stage of discussions with a well-known high street name and an upmarket brasserie."

Stairheid gossip suggests the "well-known high street name " might be an M&S food and tights, but I reckon that's wishful thinking.
