Glasgow's seven zebra crossings

As a result of a FOI request Glasgow apparently has 7 zebra crossings. see http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/74931.html

Whether this was pester power in action or not I'm sure HG could have found the answer quicker than the council. Unfortunately The Herald article doesn't mention where the zebra crossings are.

There's a zebra crossing (I think!) at the side of the Kelvin Hall at the entrance to the Transport Museum!

Yeah, that one's still there.

Is the one in London Rd (near the underground lavvies) still there?

Ooh yeah, I want to find 8! Just to prove their research was a waste of money.

I am sure there is still one outside the Govan town hall, Govan road.
I will check sometime this week. Dont forget there are loads of Zebra
crossings all around large shopping car parks, do these not count?

They probably wouldn't be the responsibility of the Council, they'd be looked after by the car park owners.

I think there is one at the Kelvin Hall, not sure about the others. I'll maybe try and get photographic evidence later!

The one at the Transport Museum doesn't show on Google Earth (I tried prior to posting that one, just to try and check!), but others in more open areas might!

Are you sure about the one at Kelvin Hall? I thought they'd converted that to a pelican crossing? Or a meringue?

There are 3 zebra crossings at the Linthouse roundabout just as you leave the Clyde tunnel.

Zebra crossings at the 1,7 & 11 o'clock positions from the roundabout

I think the one at the kelvin hall has been converted to a pelican or toucan crossing

It shows up (just about) on Windows Live Local.

Thanks glasgowken, there is definitely one at the side of the Kelvin Hall (Transport Museum), was starting to doubt myself!

If I knew how to post an image of it I would, but I don't so everyone will have to look for themselves. But it is there!
