I think the wee hats get fitted to ones beside houses after folks moan about the incessant flashing.

Heheh, even allowing for the places where there are more than one (eg. Linthouse Roundabout) to be counted as one we're still well over the seven.

No one mentions the zebras. Personally I think it's cruel to make them lie down like that.

St. Rollox II

Postby MungoDundas » Mon Jan 29, 2007 11:54 pm

Another one for Cobden Street (?)
Rather than swing right into Springburn Lidl's car park,
bear left towards St Rollox House industrial brick type
office building, passing a broken belisha and washed out
zebra crossing.

A crumby fonesnap of one already mentioned.....

Allison Street at Hollybrook Street.
a 6bar one way version, have to tread carefully
on these pavements, think they feed the dogs
all-bran round here.

BTW, noticed that the St Rollox one had been repaired last week.

On a similar note, the first " Yellow Box Junction " in Glasgow (1966);
Known as a zig-zag yellowy boxy thing to the rest of us.

Clocked a fresh zebra crossing beside Orchardhill Parish Church on Church Rd in Giffnock, seemingly to allow safe access from Church to Church Hall. It's refreshing to see a simple low impact effective solution being adopted.
