Davy Henderson, who ran it (I think) allegedly still has most of the tapes of recordings made there.

I spent a lot of time there and remember Davy Henderson well. I must still have a few tapes knocking about.

It was a very exciting time.

Good I haven't thought about that place in years. I need to go and lie down in a darkened room now and think about the past.

Cheers

Was a recording studio, Sharon, in the embryonic days of post-punk. Most fleetingly famous Glasgow bands of aforementioned genre recorded there.

The Hellfire club

Postby Dexter St. Clair » Tue Oct 24, 2006 11:07 pm

It started aff as a plumber or joiners storeand then it became a place to keep band equipment then a sort of rehearsal room and then a recording studio. If i remember correctley. Ronnie Brown had the next door cellar as accomodation and studio. i think Cado belle were among the first to use it to store gear.

But my memory is shot anyway. so Contributions welcome.

here's a starter

Hellfire The original Tron Church was burnt down in February 1793
by a gang of drunken gentlemen known as the Hellfire Club.

I gather their mothers were visited quite often by The Watch over other trivial matters.
