Yes, yes I do actually. "Hi Schiehallion" they all shout as I stride up the Royal Mile twirling my gamp and winking at the ladies. Sometimes I stop outside St Giles' and they all crowd around me as I ponder the question "how can marginalwalker express views on Glaswegians, and in particular, their friendliness when he doesn't know every Glaswegian personally?"

Then I hop on board a shitty coloured bus (apparently the locals call it maroon, or to use the local dialect likesay, marone) and I head off over The Bridges and along Princes St doffing my hat to the waving shoppers.

Whatever.

both citys are great,,,plenty of history in them in a short distance..
im reading up on edinburgh the now and going there wandering around
whenever i can..
but great history to be found, i prefer the old town, then next up hopefully i will do my reading up on glasgow...
plus its good that they speak different to each other..these days you can bump into a wee glasgow ned who will say yo and give you some hand sign language that came from some bloody new york hoodie its sad,
.i also think glasgow is becoming very snobbish over the years..its people and its buildings...but some remain the same,
edinburghs always been viewed as snobs but once you get up there and maybe talk to some of the locals not from the main drag(princess street folk that maybe get stopped each day with tourists) i found them to be common enough folk like myself..but i like these divisions people have
anyways both remain in scotland..

Don't get me wrong I'm proud to say I'm a weegie, but have to say at the moment I like Edinburgh a lot, feel a lot safer there but they are a bunch of ignorant so and so's at times!
