Unusual looking chappie in City Centre

Postby e2wufos1 » Thu Sep 14, 2006 8:25 am

I know theres a lot of them about but has anyone seen the very unusual chappie that walks about the toon i've seen him on several occasions in Central Station, George Square and walking along Dumbarton Road towards Partick.

I'm hoping i'm about to describe hime right. He wears a bright green hat, bright green vest type thin and all these what looks like streamers coming from all over especailly his arms etc.

If i'm out and about and see him i'll try and get a photo of him.

Very weird but brings a smile to your face.

He's a fair travelled chap. Ive seen him in Dumbarton, South Side of Glasgow and West End of Glasgow.

I suppose he has his free travel pass.

When I saw him on Dumbarton Road he was walking from the town towards Partick. I suppose he could have got off a bus before hand.

I saw a guy similar to the one you described a few months ago on Pollokshaws Rd at Kilmarnock Rd.

I've only just started to see him recently walking around (Maybe in the last month) wonder if he's new to Glasgow or always stayed here and why he's so eccentric to walk about like that?

Maybe he wouldn't appreciate having his picture taken and posted on a website - or were you going to ask his permission first?

"Hi, you're a complete weirdo. Is it ok if we take a photo of you and then put it on a website so people can laugh at it? "

I don't think he'd allow it somehow... ::):

Is that the guy with the green costume, & safety vest ?

As if he's worried someone won't spot him

I'm not so sure he wouldn't ... the guy is not shy by any means... and having heard his patter he might just agree to it. If you have the nerve to go and ask!!!!

Perhaps he's lost and still thinks he's in Edinburgh ;)

I saw him two weeks ago having a right go at a group of cheeky young girls who were laughing at him.

Nearly ran him over yesterday - he was dancing right in the middle of the road where Queen Street meets George Square at rush hour....

Talked to him once when I was in Hogshead in Shawlands watching the footy. I had quite a lucid conversation with him until my mate started winding him up about his painted-on eyebrows. He always cuts about with old orange foam walkman earphones on. I asked him what he was listening to but I hadn't heard of the band - I forget now.
