Yep, a very warm welcome Tinbasher. Hope to see loads of contributions from yourself and that you enjoy the HG experience as much as I have so far.

Hi, found your site via a Scotland on Sunday article = fascinating, city of my youth (we walked everywhere in those days) lived in Shawlands, Partick, Scotston, Bishopbriggs and born at Lennox Castle; I left in 1960 and came back to Scotland a couple of years ago - time to take another look at Glasgow methinks.

Hi All, I was born in the Garngad at 179 Millburn street, moved to the Drum 1955 and then emigrated to Canada 1966. Moved back to Glasgow 1985. Just discovered this great site today. :) :)

LP is the one with the strong interest in lamposts and railings, btw. Which he disputes, but we know better.

Damn right I dispute it. Even if it might be true.

Alright folks, the name's Del, I'm 33, spent my early years living in Springburn before being shipped off out to Cumbernauld for years. Spent time living in Shettleston and Possil, and I'm now in the back of beyond (Banknock). Stumbled across this site ages back and meant to delve deeper but got waylaid. Saw the article in SoS yesterday which made me come on for another look. And, aye, I think that's about that!

Newbie

Postby KittieCrystal » Mon Oct 11, 2010 6:07 pm

Hi I'm new to the forum. I stay in the Cardonald area and lived throughout the southside for the past 35 years. I'm originally from Thornliebank. I wanted to show some of my handmade jewellery, I started Kittie Crystal Jewellery about 5 months ago and It has been a lot of hard work but a lot of fun too. I'm looking for any craft fairs/xmas fairs in the southside(or pretty much anywhere in Glasgow) I currently have a small selection of Bracelets for sale in Glitz n Glamour on pollokshaws rd in Shawlands so if you're passing and have got time please pop in for a look. I have a website but it is in the early stages at the mo. Please take a look at my FB group.
