Just joined Hidden Glasgow

Postby ibtg » Fri Sep 16, 2005 11:28 am

Hi, my name is Liz and I found Hidden Glasgow by following a link from the Southern Necropolis site. Colin came to speak to our Club about the Southern Necropolis and if you are looking for a speaker, I can highly recommend him.
More about our Club. I'm Secretary of the Old Glasgow Club, an association founded in 1900 for all those interested in Old Glasgow. Many of the topics you all discuss in these forums are subjects we have covered or are interested in and I'm often delighted to see the responses which give more info. If I can be of help with some of the projects, I will try to post answers when I can and I know we will be very pleased if any of you want to come along to one of our meetings. To find out more about us, http://www.oldglasgowclub.org.uk.

MEEEEEEEAAAWWWWW

Postby Ratcatcher » Fri Sep 16, 2005 8:05 pm

Hello,

I am an 18lb (when empty) black cat  up from London. Rodents are my game and Ratty is my name. Any of you two footed friends know where a hungry Moggie can get a healthy supply of Rats in this town.

I heard the City Chambers might be a good starting point?

Rats in the Vicky!

Postby Ratcatcher » Tue Sep 20, 2005 9:23 pm

Purrrrrrrr. I presume you mean the large Rat Rt Hon M Howard MP being unable to politically procrastinate in the Vicky. Perhaps they would not let him because they have already let developers in to size it up for .......wait for it...........luxury flats.

I understand there is a sluice culvert running into the River Cart which has an open grille in front of the Vicky, where on many a Summers evening you can see many of the real version of my little grey friends running about.

Talking of rats i see that Councillor Charlie Gordon is running in Cathcart by election to replace Mike "Firestarter" Watson. Given the amount of buidings that Councillor Charlie "The Demo Ball" Gordon let fall into disrepair or knocked down during his tenure as Council Leader, the good citizens of Cathcart should be wary. Yours Ratty
Bye bye Vicky Infirmary demo ball and luxury flat developers beckon! Hisssssssss!

Hello I'm Paul and as the handle suggests I cum fae Govin. Have been spying on this forum for a couple o' months now and have just decided to take the plunge. I'm a psychiatric nurse and have a bit of interest in the work (dwindling by the day) of Alexander Thomson so this site is the dog's bollix as far as I'm concerned!!

:D Hi Paul, Have you seen the homers network in the coffee lounge, I am sure that one or two of our "pure dead mental" members may be in need of a few urgent homers ::):
