Hello Im Jenny. Pope visit to Glasgow plus Google brought me here, for the record I am wholeheartedly against such a visit. However I will lay that aside.I can continue the protest in many other places.Having had a wee shifty around this site I find there is some interesting threads, in particular the photography section, which has given me an idea for a thread, now wheres that camera.

May I apologise in advance for all grammatical errors that may occur.

It's funny that my previous contribution didn't make it to first base !

It was in another contribution in support of Jenny Geddes, despite the fact that my previous offerings on the subject seem to have been deleted from this topic.

If the mods on this site have a problem with my contributions, please feel free to let me know ! You can do it through this topic, through a pm, or even through my e-mail address which you obviously have through my enrolment details.

That the common denominator in this case seems to be the ubiquitous Dexter Saint Clair then, perhaps you might like to explain to me and to others on this forum why Mr Sinclair (I assume he is a Scot and not a phony upper class English man with opinions above his social level) has such a high profile. From what I have seen, his opinion of his importance is definitely over-rated.

I love the response I have had from lots of wonderful Scots on your site as I research my roots, but I'm sure I'm not the only person who has been put off by the ravings of Mr Sinclair. If this person is an icon of your site then God help anyone who doesn't share his opinions !

Has anyone seen my lesser-spotted posteater? Harris let him out yesterday lunchtime and he didn't come back for his tea. :(

Your post did appear and therefore it did make first base. Maybe you were balked as you colonials would say. Count this as a brush back.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.
