Hi, I am 22 and am from the dump that is Dumbarton.

I have only recently found out about this site, so I hope to learn a lot from it, regarding facts and where to go, etc.

My interests include, photography and art in general, railways and other transport, hill walking, climbing, running, cycling, archery, rugby (although not to play), phsycology and medical things in general, nature, especially insects and Botany conservation, astrology and space, travel, geography, stones and rocks, science, history, weather, potery, glass, snooker, music, reading, languages.......

The list goes on, but, basically, everything except for cars.

I do enjoy writting, but I try not to say very much on these groups, with varying degrees of success, because otherwise, I write too much.

Anyway, I have said too much there already, so bye for now.
I can always rely on this forum to make myself feel about 10 times worse than I did before

My name's Elizabeth and I am 29 years old. I currently live in California, but am moving to Glasgow in September to attend the University. I can't wait to get there. These boards are very entertaining, and the site is great. Nice to meet you all.

hi

just to add a proper introduction, Jonathan I’m 21 working –almost- full time for Abbey (the bank formerly known as Abbey National) but hopefully not for much longer.

I’ve always loved the historic side of Glasgow and Scotland it has some of the most impressive architecture in the UK.

I come from Paisley myself but there is little going for the town sadly.

Hi everyone!
I've been reading Hidden Glasgow for a good while now - been living in Dublin the past seven years but will always be a Weegie in heart and soul! I go home several times a year, and am always expected to lay on the full tour with a side of fries. Always on the lookout for new mad places to search out, and revisit old haunts from my youf!
(not that old!)
So...um... I draw picktures for a living (believe it or not), and looking forward to joining in the forums.
Ta da!
Huhllo!
The Jungle? Yeah, I do kinda miss it...but it's nice to get off the food chain, y'know?

Hey everyone, Crossfire, here.

I've been into UE for about 15 years, but it's only been about 2 years since I've realized there's been such a massive international community. I've been pretty active on http://www.uer.ca's forums, but seeing as I am going to be coming over from Canada and visiting your fair city at the end of this month, I thought I'd jump on here and say Hi!

So.. hi!

C.

Hello a'body. I've visited this site a few times but have only now regsitered for the forum.

I like this site a lot as it is refreshing to discover there are more people curious about those obscure and fogotten bits of Glasgow that I can't stop thinking about as I wander the boulevards and backstreets of the dear green place.

Only been a fully paid up resident of the city for the last 3 years or so, but grew up in darkest Lanarkshire and went to Uni in Glasgow (well, it was the 'tech in my day if the truth be told) so I have been familiar with the city since childhood.
