Hi, I'm Tony and I used to live in Scotstoun. Now live down-south where it's warm and dry!

Whenever I get home I always drive round my old haunts to see what has changed. Noticed that my old school (St Pauls in Whiteinch) has been demolished :( Bang goes another memory!

Love what's going on here and thought it was time I came to sa hi. Hi!

On the bright side....It was students from St Pauls that burned it down.
Stilll...I remember the days before it was a school, it was a garage, and the used to have tyres........I managed to scrounge an inner tube and bounce around on it...predating the space hopper by at least 5 years.....but I also had a space hopper later........and a cleaver.

Hello, I'm Vinny and I'm, er, a Mackem! Half Glaswegian, been living and working in Glasgow since I left school in Sunderland in 1989. Been floating in and out of the site for ages now, but finally took the plunge and registered!

A Mackem is a person born in Sunderland. Geordies are from north of the river Tyne, i.e. only Newcastle. Those from Gateshead, south of the Tyne, are not really Geordies either!

Hello everyone What a fantastic site! It’s a credit to you all and the webmaster that Glasgow can be portrayed as a vibrant and forward thinking as this site shows.

Well, first of all my name's Joan I work in Glasgow [if you don’t know already] I love the city and the people. I’m a journalist [but don’t hold that against me] and I hope I can contribute to what is a first class site

Thanks
Joan

Thanks Sharon for the welcome! I must say the female contingent of Hidden Glasgow does look like it needs a boost. Reading some of the latest posts I think some of the poor boys have been writing to me over the years , but that’s another story

Thanks again

Just a thought....
