The BBC are not allowed to pay for your pictures in this context - they ask for them and if you send any, you retain ownership of the copyright, but give the BBC the right to use it without royalties in any media. However you will be credited as the photographer.

Could this have been a well-managed, but secret, terrorist scenario?

How do SPT and the police etc know what would happen if a bomb went of in the Glasgow Subway? They need to see how people would react in rush-hour. So what they do is they stop a train suddenly and tell everyone to get out an walk. Commuters are not likely to go along with a rehearsed scenario and if they did would natter and saunter down the track. So they went for the real thing below the Clyde. Everyone managed to exit the train and walk out so now they know what will happen if the worst happens. Makes sense.

Maybe the crying wummin was a plant, to add tension.
They should have added a nun, a pregnant woman, and a little girl who needs to get to a hospital for a transplant.

Interesting theory, and it certainly makes sense to do it on that stretch of the track as it's probably the cleanest and easiest underfoot.
How would they get the train to "malfunction" in such a way that it started belching out smoke though? Why not just flicker the lights, come to a stop and tell people the train had broken down? I'm sure that would have been enough for most people.

I think even if it was a genuine malfunction, SPT will be secretly delighted because now they know a large group of people can get out of the carriages and can walk to the relative safety of a station.

Detraining, and walking passengers through the tunnel to a station has happened before on the Subway, even on the first day it opened.
