Filled in the form on the "contact us" bit several months ago and got a standard reply that made no reference to what I'd commented on.

At least it is Lord Roberts and not bloody Kitchener. So they can get some things right.

It is very disappointing that the department haven't even responded by making the changes highlighted to them.

I also pointed a mistake that hasn't been changed.

Agree Fos they could have asked for verification from those who use the site most. HG members would have been well suited for this small task.

They could always provide limited access to the VM backend and let a few authorised users make amendments. That would / should take them 2 mins to set up and would hugely improve the quality of their service at no time or cost expense to them... even if access could only be given in the mitchell.

Surely they would want things to be as good as they can be....?

Aye!

Here Al could you not ask them if they would like some volunteers to update some records and add some new content/pictures?

It’s a fulltime job and having the resources of HG members [cheep labour of love] at hand might be a bonus for the council [and save money].

What does everyone else think?

I intended emailing about the change to the Virtual Mitchell. Will now have to choose my words carefully to see if there may be some way of addressing both Sharon and Fos's suggestions.

Hopefully they will appreciate the offer of some assistance.

We could also be of assistance in building an altogether better system to manage the photos...

Just spotted another mistake. (I must be getting old).

Looks more like Queens Park Bowling Club than a Govan
fishmongers.

I'd imagine it'll take them ages to fix the problems with the site so i've updated the greasemonkey script ( http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/vie ... 5601#75601 ) to add some buttons to rotate the images.

Doesn't seem to work in Opera yet, but I'll try and fix it.
