Scottish astronaut

Postby Ronnie » Wed Apr 21, 2004 11:15 am

I see that Andre Kuipers, the Dutch astronaut who has just arrived on the international space station took two (rather Dutch) items with him ... a comic book and a piece of cheese.

What would a Scottish astronaut take? (Apart from a tatty apple square and a bottle of Irn Bru, obviously.)

What did Neil Armstrong take? His grandparents were Scottish, weren't they?

Armstrong took a tatty apple square. And it's always air-brushed out of the official pictures. It's a conspiracy, I tell you, a con ... [black helicopter arrives and drags man from keyboard screaming incoherently] ...

A bottle of Bells Whiskey, sneakily hidden from the rest of the astronauts.

Bottle of bucky (Standard issue rations for a ned) and a copy of Max Power to keep abreast of the latest developments in modified Nova Technology.

His betablockers and a lion rampant with a straightened out coat hanger threaded through the top of it.

Call me nieve, but I was being funny when I posted the first comment, and I invited people to be at least as funny as I thought I was being. So I'm really surprised to find the thread filled with dull and obvious answers ... come on, where's your humour? Where's the famous Glasgow banter? I mean, "chib", how funny is that? Here's your second chance to show off your wit ... don't let me down this time, eh?
