Found this today http://local.live.com/. Same idea, only this one has much more coverage of Scotland. All of Airdrie, Coatbridge, Motherwell and Hamilton can be seen

Not quite got the same zoom level as GE but its still impressive with a different mapping set that looks like it was taken on a workday. Could this be the XYZ mapping companies stuff?

Good find!!!!

Thanks for this, some fantastic coverage of North Ayrshire, a few years old, but still better than anything else I've seen. :D

I've just seen an SPL football stadium with a stand that was demolished in the summer of 2001.

Easter Road. Yet I've just notice the Falkirk Stadium is on it and that was built in 2004 so it must be made up from composite images.

Diverting stuff. You could see ma maw's hoose, unlike Google Earth. It's very limited compared to Google Earth though (at this stage). Also, it's coverage anywhere else in Europe that I tried was zero.

My house is in it, but it's not quite as high resolution as Google Earth. The Google Earth pictures in my area look shite though - all greyed for some reason.

Haha so they have. Do any of these mapping companies encourage locals to correct them?

I read on some GIS website that they do this with a few locations so they know if their stuff has been ripped off. Its a bit weird but it sort of makes sense.

I'm pretty sure my Land Rover is visible from space :P

It looks fairly recent round my way, you can see the work is well advanced on the (now gone) Auchenkilns Roundabout, work having got underway within the last two years and completed about 9 months ago.
