We do tend to find that once they have been skinned and the anorak drops limply to the floor, most folks are awright ;)

Is it like skinning an eel ?

Secure it's head to a wooden post by driving a nail though it, and pull it's skin off with pliers :?

And you wonder why people don't turn up 8O

I'm a shitebag (huge intakes of breath all around in surprise, not...). Also I live in Aberdeen, so its a bit far away to come for a night out.

Right, sometime this summer I will be out. I'd probably be more inclined to meet up for one of the random wanders first, rather than one of the drinks nights.

GK, some peeps around have a very fond opinion of you, get yir arse oot & aboot.
John, I would have said "rotund" some folks on here are a tad uncouth, I know.
MW, put it away son, you make an old man very nervous 8O

I jumped in at the deep end one Friday night & ended up more than pleasantly surprised, I walked in expecting to find HG postered up above the table but alas, no indication of their whereabouts was to be seen. Fortunately Sharon's avatar showed her face (& one or two other wondrous things besides  ) So I got to meet PGCC, Fossy, Ronnie, Shazza (bet you hate that) Kitten, McShadders, Lord Sleek & partner, Alan M, Scotia, the Doc & others. The drinks flowed and all was well. I then leapt into the "Old Glasgow Boundary" walk one Sunday & met up again with Sharon, Kitty, Fossy & Ronnie.
Friday nights don't really suit me as I usually work on a Saturday, I do, though, try to make every Sunday trip, the saddest thing is that usually only two or three of us turn up. I had a wonderful day out with Ronnie recently at Cathcart Cemetery, just the two of us, what a marvelous day. Ronnie, like me, is not a big talker, which obviously suits me; I do love meandering in company that is comfortable in silence. On the othe hand, the Doc is a veritable font of knowledge on almost any subject and it is a very rewarding experience to be in his company for a day.
I have now taken part on four or five HG trips, I can honestly, hand on heart, say to anyone who is swithering, come along, join in, if need be you can hang around at the back; I'll join you there, nae problem.

The other thing I should mention is the hoot, it's a pure laugh from start to finish, so many of the folk I've met through HG are comedians, some are of the unconscious variety & the rest just should be.
From meetings, day & night, I have also met John, Cumbo & his brown eyed girl, the utterly ravishing Crusty Bint & too many others whose names my Stella addled brain forgets. Special mention too, to Monument & wee Picasso, the love of life in those two Celtic folk is something to behold. I love a laugh, I love life, I love Glasgow, I love HG, and I hope to see you next Sunday on the G12 creep: wink:

Pee Ess, thanx to a certain person, I was able to take part in a wonderfully snowy day out at the "Verde" building on Glasgow Green, a memory I shall hold close to me, forever. Big thanx to your good self :D
Be there or be square, HH.
